More court appearances today, over Friday night's large violent boy-racer gatherings in Levin and Palmerston North

More court appearances today, over Friday night's large violent boy-racer gatherings in Levin and Palmerston North

Ten people are facing a range of charges, after five bystanders and two Police officers were injured.

Among them -- an 18-year-old man, who's due in court this morning on serious charges, accused of allegedly hitting four young people with his car.

Police Minister Mark Mitchell says what happened shouldn't have happened.

He says it's totally unacceptable for Kiwis to be dealing with incidents like this in their own community.
