A man's facing serious charges after two people were injured in an assault at an Auckland night market

A man's facing serious charges after two people were injured in an assault at an Auckland night market

Emergency services found two people in a critical condition when called to Pakuranga's Aylesbury Street about 7pm on Saturday.

Police say a 23-year-old man handed himself in last night and is due in the Manukau District Court today.

The Herald's Katie Oliver says a witness heard screaming and saw people gathered around a badly injured young man.

She says it's not clear what started the brawl.
