A man's been charged following yesterday's three-hour stand-off in Auckland's Flat Bush, that saw a Police officer shot and injured

Emergency services were called to a property on Chapel Road yesterday morning.

Counties Manukau District Commander Superintendent Shanan Gray says a man refusing to exit the property was eventually arrested by the Armed Offenders Squad after three hours.

A 47-year-old man's been charged with using a firearm against a law enforcement officer, and injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He's also facing two counts of breaching electronically monitored bail, and will appear in the Manukau District Court today.
