Labour's leader says promising net job creation - was smoke and mirrors

Labour's leader says promising net job creation - was smoke and mirrors

The Finance Minister earlier this month said more jobs would be created than lost through the Government's public service cuts.

Nicola Willis seemed less sure today, saying it was LIKELY new jobs would outweigh job loss.

Chris Hipkins says teacher numbers have grown simply because school rolls are rising.

He says it's disingenuous for the Government to say it funded those positions through making back office cuts, when it would have had to fund them anyway.
