Critical support's rolling out to at-risk regional airlines - with Golden Bay Air announced as a first loan recipient

It's getting a loan of about 1.1-million dollars, from the 30-million-dollar Government package.

Fund administrator, Kanoa, says they're working to allocate the rest of funds - as they process applications from other operators.

NZ Airports Association CEO Billie Moore says these airlines offer crucial services for things like business, and medical flights.

She says they're dedicated carriers, but don't have the scale to manage things like cost increases, as larger airlines can.
