    Men's Black Sticks coach Darren Smith can now put his full attention into the hockey world cup in India


    After missing the Commonwealth Games, captain Blair Tarrant returns from injury for the India tournament, while four players have played more than 200 tests.

    Smith says a lot of time has been spent whittling the team down to just 18.

    He says it's not like they've only spent the last couple of days trying to sort it out, with it now a matter of focusing on the tournament.

    New Zealand will play three warm up games against Malaysia before their tournament opener against France on November 30th.
