Micro Scooters says traffic to their website has jumped by 70 percent since e-scooter company Lime was launched here in October.
Micro Scooters' brand manager Hannah McHalick says the success of e-scooters has had a flow-on effect for sales of all scooters.
She says electric scooters have convinced many New Zealanders that scooters were not just for children.
Lime, which launched in Wellington on Friday, recently revealed its service had hit 500,000 rides in its first month in operation.
And bike-share company Onzo is expected to add a further two and a half thousand e-scooters to Auckland footpaths in coming weeks.
