    A strong opening quarter has launched Ireland to a 27-3 opening win over Scotland at the World Cup


    The Irish have scored four tries in the meeting of the highest ranked pool A teams.

    Scotland coach Gregor Townsend says his side lacked energy, accuracy and aggression to cope against Ireland.



    After the first three days, Ireland and Japan lead Pool A, Italy top Pool B, England head Pool C and Australia's ahead in Pool D.
