Everyday New Zealanders are investing in a crowdfunding campaign for medicinal cannabis to be grown in Marlborough

Puro is using the PledgeMe platform and has so far raised 2.9 million dollars.
That means the company can start growing hemp at its Marlborough site this week.
Managing Director Tim Aldridge says all sorts of people are wanting a piece of their plans.
He says a large number of people have invested between five hundred and a thousand dollars, with a significant number investing over 50-thousand as well.
Tim Aldridge says it's an exciting new frontier of modern medicine - and people are backing New Zealand to be a player in the global market.
