    The WTA tournament has been confirmed as the best international series event in the world at the WTA Awards announced today.

    The Auckland tournament has beaten out 32 international tournaments on the WTA Tour, recognising the excellence of staff, organisation, fans and wider dedication to the sport and its athletes.
