Drugs, illegal firearms and ammunition have been seized as investigations continue into gang tensions in Hawke's Bay

Drugs, illegal firearms and ammunition have been seized as investigations continue into gang tensions in Hawke's Bay

Yesterday afternoon, Police arrested a patched Mongrel Mob member in Wairoa.

The 25-year-old's due to appear in Gisborne District Court today on firearms charges.

And about 9 last night, Police arrested a Black Power associate found carrying a knife and a small amount of meth.

At the weekend, tensions flared between Black Power and Mongrel Mob members - including a child being nearly shot.

A public meeting's being held on Sunday to discuss the ongoing issues.
