    Global dairy prices have taken a hit, following the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus in China

    Overall prices are down 4.7 percent at Fonterra's latest overnight auction.

    The crucial whole milk powder price has been particularly affected -- down 6.2 percent from a fortnight ago.

    The skim milk powder price is also down -- falling 4.2 percent on a fortnight ago.

    This auction's fall comes on the back of two rises.
