Processes around emergency ambulance transportation of patients to hospital have been updated amidst the Covid-19 lockdown

Processes around emergency ambulance transportation of patients to hospital have been updated amidst the Covid-19 lockdown

Ambulance officers have now been asked to transport patients alone - unless it's an exceptional circumstance.

St John Medical Director Dr Tony Smith says in that situation - only one family member will be allowed to travel.

Dr Smith says he's aware this could be distressing for patients and families... but it's about keeping everyone safe.
