Despite a 75 percent decrease in the amount of traffic, eight lives have been lost on the roads since alert level four restrictions began just over two weeks ago.
National Manager for Road Policing Acting Superintendent Gini Welch says just because there are fewer cars on the road, doesn't mean you can treat it like a race track.
