Waikato Hospital has confirmed two nurses have tested positive for Covid-19
9 April 2020
More than 50 health care workers nationwide have tested positive as of yesterday - including seven nurses.
Waikato DHB chief Dr Kevin Snee says the pair worked on a ward mainly for older people, and were stood down immediately after developing symptoms.
He says all staff working on the ward between March 31 and April 6 have also been stood down as a precaution.
Snee says there's a small risk of transmission.
