Confidence the covid-19 rugby shutdown in Japan won't see the game lose the momentum that was built during last year's World Cup

Tokyo-based Toshiba coach Todd Blackadder is currently quarantining in Auckland ahead of a visit home to Christchurch and Golden Bay.

The former All Black captain and Crusaders coach says the Japanese players are revered.

Todd Blackadder is hoping to be able to head back to Japan in July to start rebuilding ahead of the January kickoff to their season.
