Canterbury farmers are worried about a dry winter in the lead up to lambing

A slightly warmer winter will help them, but late rain is needed for dry paddocks to replenish feed supplies.
Federated Farmers North Canterbury president Cameron Henderson says aquifer levels have been a challenge.
The Oxford farmer says some stock water bores have gone dry as a result of the mild to serious drought year.
Expecting ewes are in good condition, but this has come at a cost to farmers.
