Constable Matthew Hunt's funeral will be live-streamed

Constable Matthew Hunt's funeral will be live-streamed

The 28-year-old was shot and killed in west Auckland last month, after a routine traffic stop.

Only police and his family and friends will be able to attend a service for him at Eden Park on Thursday.

However, police say his family's been overwhelmed by love and support from across New Zealand so have agreed to share his farewell online.

Police Commissioner Andrew Coster is honoured to be able to offer police funeral protocols for Hunt, including a motorcade, an honour guard, a police piper, and a flag presentation to his family.
