Covid-19 has cast a fresh cloud of uncertainty over the Australian Basketball League and its teams two weeks out from the season's beginning

Covid-19 has cast a fresh cloud of uncertainty over the Australian Basketball League and its teams two weeks out from the season's beginning

The Breakers have been relocated from Melbourne to Hobart indefinitely due to a spike in covid-19 activity across Victoria.

The South East Melbourne Phoenix are also in Hobart, with the Sydney Kings and Wollongong Hawks likely to follow too.

Coach Dan Shamir says a coach of another team has been told to pack for anything between three days and three months.

Shamir says they need some pre-season games ahead of the season opener on January 15 as the team hasn't played a competitive game since February last year.
