Katie Price has been left in "agonising pain" and forced to wear her hospital boots after being allowed to walk again

The 42-year-old star was devastated after breaking both of her feet in a horrifying accident on holiday over the summer, and now her amazing recovery - which saw her taking her first steps in five months in November - has suffered a setback

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Katie has been left in agonising pain from walking recently so made a hospital appointment to check on how she's healing.

"Unfortunately, they decided that it's best for her to go back in the boots for a little while and hold off on using her feet again.

"Katie is devastated by this as in November she thought she was truly on the path for a full recovery, but she is following medical advice and will be sticking to the boots so that she can hopefully get back on her feet sooner rather than later."

Last year, the former glamour model had to go through gruelling surgery with screws and plates put into her feet to mend the fractures.

Although doctors initially suggested she wouldn't be able to walk for a year and a half after the accident in July, she defied the odds.

Meanwhile, Katie previously revealed she was scared she'd lose both her legs, never walk again or even die after her fall in Turkey while holidaying with partner Carl Woods and kids Junior, 15, and Princess, 13, whom she has with ex-husband Peter Andre.

Katie - who is also mum to Harvey, 18, and has Jett, seven, and Bunny, six, with ex Kieran Hayler - said: "We were just all mucking about. It was just a small wall which had flowers on top and I thought it was the same height the other side — but it was a 25ft drop.

"I landed on my feet and it was like cement. I tried to get up and I couldn’t. Then this pain just hit my legs and I’m screaming, ‘My legs! My legs!’ "
