Kelvin Davis is hitting out at calls for an inquiry into Corrections' treatment of inmates

Kelvin Davis is hitting out at calls for an inquiry into Corrections' treatment of inmates

It comes after last month's Waikeria prison riot - and a judge's ruling that staff were behaving in an inhuman and degrading way at Auckland Region Women's Prison.

Both the Maori Party and National are advocating for a closer look - with National's corrections spokesperson Simeon Brown also questioning whether Kelvin Davis is across his portfolios.

But when that was put to Corrections Minster Davis - he bit back hard... saying who cares what Simeon Brown thinks.
