Investigations continue -- after a body was discovered at the site of a fire in inland Otago

Emergency services were called to reports of trees ablaze at a property on State Highway 87, Rock and Pillar, south of Hyde, around 5pm last night.

There they found the body -- and contained the fire that had burnt through 20 metres of trees.

It's understood the incident involved farming equipment.

Police and Fire services are investigating.
