Huge delays for those trying to get in to and out of Auckland

Huge delays for those trying to get in to and out of Auckland

One motorist has reported the chaos caused by the alert level shift saying that in 1 hour she's moved only 50 metres.

Reporter Demelza Jackson is northbound at Pokeno, and says she hasn't seen a police checkpoint yet.

She says that people are bored, hot and frustrated, and one man got out of his car to swing his golf clubs.
