Novak Djokovic has equalled Roger Federer's all-time record for most weeks as the world number one in men's tennis, holding the top spot for the 310th week

Novak Djokovic has equalled Roger Federer's all-time record for most weeks as the world number one in men's tennis, holding the top spot for the 310th week

He will surpass the Swiss great for total weeks next week, which was guaranteed when he won last month's Australian Open.

This is Djokovic's fifth stint atop the world rankings.

The Serbian reclaimed the top spot from Rafael Nadal in February last year and finished as the year-end top player for the sixth time - tying the record set by American great Pete Sampras.
