Tennis Auckland chairman insists planning underway for the 2022 men's and women's ASB Classics

Tennis Auckland chairman Simon Vannini insists planning is underway for the 2022 men's and women's ASB Classics, despite a lack of tournament director or chief executive

CEO Marcus Reynolds left last year and frontman Karl Budge resigned in February.

Vannini says they are hunting for a tournament director who is likely to come from overseas.

He accepts there is uncertainty around when borders could open, but they have been active.

Vannini says they aim to have a new CEO by July and a tournament director within the next couple of months.
