The 29 year old has become the first Japanese men's player to win a golf major, completing a one stroke victory at Augusta.
Matsuyama has carded a one over 73 to finish 10 under par, a shot clear of rookie American Will Zalatoris.
Spieth who won last week's Texas Open finished in a tie for third, three shots back and he's thrilled for Matsuyama.
