    Fire crews continue to battle fires in hay bale fires in Winslow, near Ashburton


    They were called out just after six this morning.

    Fire and Emergency spokesperson Mau Barbara says about 26 crew are working on four large stacks of hay still burning.

    He says a shed structure has been completely destroyed.

    A fire crew with breathing equipment is now on the scene.
