The scene of a violent attack at a Dunedin supermarket remains closed off as police carry out their investigations

The scene of a violent attack at a Dunedin supermarket remains closed off as police carry out their investigations

A 42-year-old man is facing four counts of attempted murder after the attack, at Countdown on Cumberland street.

    Four people remain in hospital.

Newstalk ZB's Rowena Duncum says there's only seagulls in the carpark, with security cordons preventing any access.

She says it's a gloomy scene - with the blinds drawn as police go in and out of the supermarket for an investigation that will run for at least today.
