    Government support for businesses covers most bases

    Government support for businesses covers most bases


    Close to 130-thousand businesses have applied for this lockdown's wage subsidy scheme.

    More than 484-million dollars has been paid out so far.

    Applications for Resurgence Support Payments are also now open -- a one-off payment to help with rent and fixed costs.

    Employers and Manufacturers Association advocacy and strategy head Alan McDonald says the Government swung into action quickly.

    He says there's quite a bit of help available -- with one area lacking for businesses who've just started up.
