Another blow for some Canterbury farmers...

The region was hit by severe winds yesterday -- causing fires, power outages and downing trees.
Selwyn District mayor Sam Broughton says there's plenty of damage that'll take some time to fix.
He says it comes on top of farmers being hard hit by floods earlier this year...which some hadn't finished clearing up.
Broughton says it's added to the amount of work required, with trees and shelter belts needing tidying.
Strong wind gusts also toppled vehicles and damaged fences and powerlines in Wairarapa.
Hundreds are still without power, and Powerco says teams are working hard to restore it as quickly as possible.
