A man who fled Auckland's Jet Park quarantine facility yesterday has appeared in court

He arrived at the facility on Saturday and allegedly escaped just after 3pm -- and was found nearby by police.
The 23-year-old's been charged with intentionally failing to comply with the Covid-19 Public Health Response Act.
He's also been accused of kicking an officer in the face, and intentionally damaging a patrol car.
He appeared in Auckland District Court via a phone link, and has been granted interim name suppression and did not seek bail.
He''s been remanded without plea until his next appearance on October 26.
