    Waihola Highway, south of Dunedin, has reopened following a fatal car accident this morning


    A pair were killed after two-cars collided and another three people were injured, two seriously and one moderately.

    Two of the victims were airlifted to Dunedin Hospital, while the third was taken in by ambulance.

    The accident brings the holiday road toll to four.

    A motorcyclist died in a car crash in Burnham, Canterbury last night and a pedestrian was killed at Otane in Hawkes' Bay yesterday afternoon.
