Inner city parks are under threat in Auckland and Wellington

A commuter parking levy is being investigated for central Wellington...in order to pay for transport plans and reduce commuting levels.

Auckland City Council is planning on removing parks to make way for more bus and cycle lanes...and are voting on moving it to public consultation tomorrow.

Dominion Road Business Association spokesperson Gary Holmes says they're extremely worried.

He says they're worried about the ability for customers to access businesses...which is the key component for many.
