The dramatic incident saw three AOS members injured on Danube Place in Glen Eden ... after a man opened fire at them.

Police shot him dead and a post-mortem and formal identification is expected this morning.

One hurt officers has been discharged from hospital, one is expected to be released today and the third remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Waitemata District Commander Naila Hassan is asking people with footage of the shooting to upload it to a portal set up for the investigation ... or contact 10-five.
