Internet speeds could triple, on Friday - for up to for 600,000 Kiwis

Chorus's fibre upgrade is almost complete - with the company claiming download speeds could increase from one hundred megabits-a-second.... to a whopping three hundred.

Chorus's Steve Pettigrew says New Zealand's internet speed is currently 24th in the world, significantly better than Australia and the UK, but can still improve.

He says the upgrade could place us in the top 10, as soon as early next year.
