The Scotsman has fought out a thrilling 6-4 win over compatriot Gary Anderson, in a semifinal which saw 39 maximums in total.
He'll now meet Brit Michael Smith, who advanced to his second final in four years.
Smith says he felt the pressure in his 6-3 victory over James Wade.
