The Silver Ferns have failed to capitalise on a strong start to their Quad Series netball match against England in London

New Zealand's squandered an eight-goal lead in the second quarter to lose 49-46.

Regardless, coach Dame Noeline Taurua says they improved on the opening loss to Australia.

Now out of contention for the final, New Zealand meet South Africa on Wednesday.
