Liverpool manager offers tinder dry response after laughing off barbs from Manchester City counterpart

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has offered a tinder dry response after laughing off barbs from Manchester City counterpart Pep Guardiola following the latter's elimination from football's Champions League

In an outburst after City's 5-nil win over Newcastle yesterday, Guardiola said "everyone in the country" supports Liverpool and pointed out the Reds have won the Premier League once in 30 years.

Klopp has dismissed the spray as heat-of-the-moment comments and wasn't compelled to joust when Guardiola's words were read to him at a press conference.

Liverpool meet Real Madrid in the Champions League final on May 29 in Paris.
