Long covid is emerging as a significant health problem, while still not being fully understood

One in five covid cases still have symptoms three months after catching the virus.
An online symposium is being held on Zoom today week, where experts will share the latest information.
Bronnie Thompson from Otago University's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Musculoskeletal Medicine, says it seems to involve the symptoms a person experiences during their acute phase.
He says the ones who are most commonly experienced are cognitive fogginess, so finding it hard to remember things and make decisions -- and also fatigue.
