A man is critically injured, after falling from a height at a Dunedin hotel

A man is critically injured, after falling from a height at a Dunedin hotel

Emergency crews were called to the Scenic Circle Hotel on Princes Street about 9am.

A witness has told the Otago Daily Times they heard an extremely loud bang, like something hitting the ground.

A reporter at the scene has reported firefighters using an aerial truck removed a man through a window on the hotel's first floor.

St John says one patient has been taken to Dunedin Hospital in a critical condition.

It's understood construction is going on at the site.
