A new political poll shows Labour slightly ahead of National - with just enough support to govern... if backed by Te Pati Maori
30 May 2022
The Talbot-Mills corporate poll for May puts Labour on 37 percent support - up one point - and National on 36, down one point.
The Greens are steady on eight and Act down two points to seven percent.
Te Pati Maori polled at three percent.
On these numbers, Labour and Greens would have 60 seats - and National and Act 56.
If the Maori party wins an electorate, it could create a hung Parliament by joining National and Act - or could back a Labour Greens coalition.
