Australian skiers are expected to hit the slopes in the South Island

New Zealand Olympic gold medalist Nico Porteous has teamed up with Christchurch Airport and regional tourism organisations to launch New Zealand's Powder Highway.
It's designed to attract ski tourists to Mt Hutt, through the McKenzie's ski areas and Mt Cook before ending in Queenstown.
Christchurch airport's General Manager of Trade Development, Scott Callaway says the powder highway gives Aussie's a new reason to fly here.
