The disappointment of last month's World Athletics Championships in Oregon has quickly subsided for Tom Walsh

The disappointment of last month's World Athletics Championships in Oregon has quickly subsided for Tom Walsh

He's defended his title at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, heaving 22.26 metres.

Walsh finished fourth at the world champs, with three Americans making it on to the podium.

But he says today he was consistent in the throwing circle.

New Zealand's Jacko Gill took silver throwing 21.90 metres, a new personal best.
