World 100 metres champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce headlines the list of five finalists for the women's world athlete of the year award

The Jamaican claimed her fifth world championship gold medal in Oregon earlier thi syear.

Nigerian world 100 metres hurdles champion Tobi Amusan, Peruvian world 20 and 35 kilometre race walk champion Kimberly Garcia have made the shortlist.

The other finalists are American 400 metres hurdles world champion and world record holder Sydney McLaughlin and Venezuela's world indoor and outdoor triple jump champion Yulimar Rojas .
