New research could provide an insight into the underestimation of COVID - 19 in New Zealand

New research could provide an insight into the underestimation of COVID - 19 in New Zealand

A study by The New Zealand Medical Journal found one in three Dunedin students didn't report their COVID infection.

Researchers followed 135 students in North Dunedin flats during 2022 - finding 60 percent of the students notified the University about their case and 66 percent uploaded their result to My Covid Record.

Otago University researcher Lianne Parkin says the reason students didn't report was because they didn't know how or that they needed to.
