    Pascal Ackermann has won the 219-kilometre stage 11 of cycling's Giro d'Italia


    Former champion Tao Geoghegan Hart was forced out of the race after a crash on a slippery descent with 70 kilometres remaining.

    Geraint Thomas was skittled with his Ineos Grenadiers teammate but recovered to rejoin the peloton and stay in the tour lead.
