News of a secondary teachers pay increase is providing hope for the rest of the sector

PPTA members have accepted a 14.5 percent pay bump.
Under pay parity rules, primary and kindergarten teachers must also be offered these changes in the base salary scale.
Primary teachers union President Mark Potter says it's good news, but issues around workload and resourcing will also need to be resolved.
Potter says without this, teachers can't meet all the needs of their children.
