    Kiwi racing driver Liam Lawson is using the penultimate weekend of Super Formula in Motegi in Japan to set himself up for a tilt at the title


    The season finishes with a double-header at Suzuka at the end of October... Lawson is just one point off the series lead - the only foreign driver in the top 15.

    His big push today is to qualify well on an unfamiliar track...given there are bonus championship points for the three fastest in qualifying.



    The first of two qualifying sessions starts at 5.50pm.
