An investigation's been launched into allegations of historic sexual offending at Auckland's King's College

A number of complaints have been made against a former teacher and rugby coach, who taught there between 1988 and 1994.

In September, the school urged former pupils to come forward - when former teacher Paul Dodd was jailed in the UK for molesting London school boys.

In 1994, it emerged the London school's headmaster had provided Dodd a glowing reference -- which helped land him a job in New Zealand.
