Hopes NZQA can quickly sort out its online exam system

Hopes NZQA can quickly sort out its online exam system

It buckled under the strain as more than 20-thousand Year 11 students tried to log in for the digital NCEA Level 1 English exam today.

After about 18-thousand pupils had logged on, access had to be cut.

Avonside College Principal, Catherine Laws says it wasn't the first issue.

She says it is a little disappointing because NZQA had the co-requisites last week that didn't go well for some schools and now this happens to their Year 11's.

The Post Primary Teachers' Association is now seeking an urgent meeting with NZQA.
